REGISTRATION is essential

Rides open 5-6 weeks in advance and close about a week in advance. Announcements will be made on the website as each ride opens for registration and again as registrations are closed.

Each FNRttC event will have its own, separate web page with full details on the ride organised for that date.

How to Register

Watch for the announcement (by newsletter/email, here on the website or via social media) that the ride you are interested in is OPEN.

Visit the web page for that ride.

There will be a link to an on-line form for you to fill out to sign up for that ride.

Before you sign-up:

Be sure you have read and understand 'THE BASICS' – you will be asked to confirm this when applying for a place on the ride.

Check that you have the following information ready to hand, as you will need to provide these details to the ride leader:

* your Cycling UK (formerly CTC) membership number
* your contact number, preferably a mobile number
* your email address
* emergency contact details

What next?

Your entry will be cross checked against a list of previous FNRttC riders, to ensure the details we hold are up to date, and we will check if we have already received your £2 annual subscription fee.

You will be added to the e-mailing list for the specific ride (only) for which you have signed up, to receive further details and updates as the date of the ride approaches.

Please note:

Late entries will not be accepted without express permission from the ride leader.

'On the line' entries cannot be accepted under any circumstances. For your own protection, the FNRttC is not a ‘turn up and go’ ride.

If you find you must cancel your registration, you must notify the ride leader no later than 12 noon on the Wednesday before the ride. This is because for every ride, two groups of very kind people will be getting out of bed at stupid o'clock, one team to provide mid-ride refreshments and a second team to open up their cafe/restaurant extra early and serve full English breakfasts to a horde of exhausted hungry cyclists. It is these people who make every FNRttC possible - we cannot let them down or mess them about.

Your first FNRttC?

When filling out the sign up form, please ensure you let the ride leader know that this will be your first FNRttC. He/she will then contact you to talk you through what you can expect from the ride and to answer any questions you may have, before confirming your place on the ride.

Subscription: You must pay the £2 annual subscription fee to The Fridays, either in advance of the ride via Paypal, or in cash on the night.

Third party insurance is essential.

Insurance: If you are not already a Cycling UK member, then you are covered by our own insurance policy for ONE ride. (After that, you must have third party insurance cover in place, whether via Cycling UK, London Cycling Campaign or British Cycling.)

If you are already a Cycling UK member, you will have the essential third party insurance.

Alternatively, as The Fridays are an Affiliate Group of Cycling UK, you can take out Cycling UK membership at a specially discounted Affiliate Group rate through this link (entering our Affiliate Club Code 90044140 if choosing Affiliate membership, rather than the higher priced Individual membership).

Please note: Cycling UK Associate Membership via The Fridays will be linked to, and dependant upon, also being a current Fridays member. Your insurance under Affiliate Membership won't be valid if your Fridays subs are not paid and up to date. If you let your Fridays subs lapse, your Cycling UK Associate Membership is no longer valid and claims to membership benefits may be refused. (This of course does not apply if you have full individual or family membership, i.e. not as an Affiliate.)

Membership of THE FRIDAYS is essential.

It costs £2 (sterling) per calendar year, whether you do one ride or sixteen.
